Wilson's leadership experience and technical expertise stem from final design roles on transit, dam and water conveyance facili- ties, and construction management experience on numerous un- derground contracts in both soft ground and rock. Wilson received her BS in Civil Engineering from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and was featured on the school's "40 under 40" list in 2015. She earne eotechnical Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley. She has authored numerous professional papers and articles on geotechnical and construction management topics, and is a past president of the American Rock chanics Associa ertified construction man- ager and a registered professional civil engineer in California. Freese and Nichols Hires Gettinger to Lead Complex Tunneling Projects Gettinger Frees ed its water con- veyance capabilities in the Southeast Texas region by welcoming tunneling expert Brian C. Gettinger, PE, as a Tunneling Services Leader. Gettinger will leverage his expertise to expand the firm's capa- bilities on complex underground excavation proj- ects, including water, wastewater and stormwater engagements, and transportation and other initia- tives requiring trenchless technology. He will serve as a project manager based in Houston/Pearland. During the last decade, Gettinger has handled a variety of roles on large water infrastructure projects, working with clients across the United States and Canada. He has in-depth experience with the planning, design and construction of tunnels, dams, reservoirs and pipelines, as well as shafts and grouting. y projects include: construction management of a 20- ft diameter, 5-mile-long combined sewer tunnel in Columbus, Ohio, and multiple design and construction projects for Chicago's Tunnel and Reservoir Plan (TARP) system. Skanska Taps Fusco as Business Unit President for U.S. Civil Construction Fusco Skanska, one of the world's leading construction and development firms, on Oct. 18 named Don Fusco President and CEO of Skanska USA Civil, overseeing the company's civil construction op- erations in the United States, succeeding Richard Cavallaro. Fusco has more than 29 years of experience in engineering and construction – including 16 years with Skanska – and will continue Skanska's track record delivering critical infrastructure projects across the country. Fusco has overseen the construction of a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from transportation infrastructure to wastewater treatment and power generation facilities. Most recently, he served as COO for Skanska's Civil operations in the western region, where he oversaw some of the region's most high-profile projects, includ- ing the West Side Subway line extension projects in Los Angeles. Collins, Construction Management Expert, Joins HNTB Collins James Collins joined HNTB Corporation's transit/ rail practice as a project director and vice presi- dent. Based in HNTB's Empire State Building of- fices, Collins is supporting the continued growth of the transit/rail practice in the region with an emphasis on major design-build projects. Collins has more than 30 years of transit design and construction management experience. Prior to joining HNTB, he led design teams with another major consult- ing firm involved in many significant design-build transit projects, including improvements to Long Island Rail Road facilities at New York Penn Station. 1 4 P E O P L E
