C O V E R S T O RY 1 2 E ach year, TBM: Tunnel Business Magazine takes a look at the coming year by polling a sampling of tunnel- ing professionals. How is the year ahead shaping up? What are the emerging trends? The respondents repre- sent a cross section of the industry, and this year includes: A N T H O N Y B A U E R Anthony Bauer, currently a Senior Tunnel Engineer with Hy- perloop One based in Los Angeles where his international tun- neling experience is helping to deliver the world's next mode of transportation. Tony is also the founding chairman of the UCA Young Members. W E S M O R R I S O N Wes Morrison, is the North American Regional Manager for the MAPEI Underground Technology Team (UTT). He is re- sponsible for MAPEI's involvement in all tunneling and min- ing activities in the U.S. and Canada. He has been involved in the underground construction industry for over nine years, with experience including shotcrete, TBM, injection grouting and waterproofing. S A R A H W I L S O N Sarah Wilson, is a Principal and Vice President for Construc- tion Management at McMillen Jacobs Associates. She is a li- censed Professional Engineer in the state of California and a CMAA Certified Construction Manager. She holds an M.S. in geotechnical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and a B.S. in civil engineering from Drexel Universi- ty. She is both a designer and a construction manager, most re- cently serving as Resident Engineer on two separate $200M- $300M contracts for San Francisco's Central Subway program.
